Comprehensive PICMG 1.3 SHB with 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7 Technology

 

Advantech, the leading global embedded platform provider, is pleased to announce the release of PCE-5126, the PICMG 1.3 full-sized single host board which is designed with the latest Intel® Core™ i7 processor, perfect for industrial applications that require high computing power and strong I/O capability, such as AOI, medical imaging and video surveillance applications.

Leading-edge Computing Technology
PCE-5126 supports the latest LGA1155 Intel® Core™ i-series processor with the new 32nm process Intel® CPU micro-architecture to provide the most powerful computing capability. Compared with previous-generation 2D and 3D applications, performance shows up to 30% and 16% enhancement respectively. As for decryption applications, performance is doubled. PCE-5126 is well-suited for high precision image applications such as LED sorters (AOI) and DVR (surveillance).

Advanced Integrated Graphic Capability
PCE-5126 boasts excellent graphic processing capability via its integrated Intel® HD Graphic 2000; with this feature PCE-5126 provides strong 2D/3D graphic processing power without a discrete graphics card, thus saving cost, power consumption, and thermal design effort.

Rich I/O Interfaces
PCE-5126 offers rich I/O interfaces; it can support Advantech PCE-5XXX backplanes to offer various expansion slots such as PCI, PCI-X and PCIe slots, with PCIe lanes that are configurable as one x16 or two x8 and four x1 going down to the backplane. The six SATA ports support software RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 for a cost-effective data reliable solution, and the two on-board RS-232 serial ports are for COM-port-based industrial control devices. Two of six SATA ports are SATAIII, providing 6GB bandwidth for high speed storage applications. With great graphic capability and I/O expandability, PCE-5126 can be an excellent, cost effective graphic or I/O oriented workstation class hardware platform.

The outstanding performance and exceptional features of the PCE-5126 make it the ideal computing platform for advanced industrial applications. The new product is now ready for shipment with QVG SKU support B65 chipsets respectively. The B65 chipset is focused on the mainstream scalable market with Core™ i7/i5/i3 processor support and single PCIe x16 expansion.
