Collection of litter on World Environment Day

Monday, June 5, 2023, was World Environment Day. The slogan of our company, is "enabling and intelligent and sustainable planet". Based on this principle, our colleagues from the branch offices in the Netherlands collected litter with the aim of making the municipality of Son en Breugel cleaner.
The volunteers was a big group of around 45 employees. In small groups, a number of teams collected litter on foot around the Advantech Europe premises at Science Park Eindhoven. Also several teams went out by bicycle to collect litter at specific areas in Son & Breugel. With the belief that every small action counts, our dedicated employees demonstrated their unwavering commitment to creating a cleaner and greener future. Armed with gloves, garbage bags, and an unwavering spirit, we set out on a mission to restore the beauty of our surroundings.
Not only did this cleanup initiative strengthen the bond among our team members, but it also reminded us of the power of collective action when it comes to safeguarding our environment. Leading by example, we can inspire others to take similar steps towards a sustainable future. At Advantech, we understand the significance of World Environment Day and how it serves as a reminder of our responsibility to protect our planet. We remain committed to integrating sustainable practices into our daily operations, reducing our carbon footprint, and promoting environmental awareness among our employees and partners.
It is important for us to actually take responsibility for our environment. And that should be more than pious intentions in all kinds of policy documents. World Environment Day was a great opportunity for us as a company to literally roll up our sleeves and make a concrete contribution to a cleaner environment. Apart from the fact that it is extremely useful to collect litter, it was also a pleasant activity to hang out with your colleagues in this alternative way. It was nice to see how important this activity is for Advantech employees. It is certainly not a one-time action but the beginning of a tradition to practically help our environment and planet a step in the right direction. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to every team member who participated in this incredible cleanup effort. Your dedication and hard work truly made a difference and inspired us all. Let's continue to be ambassadors of change, spreading the message of environmental consciousness both within our organization and beyond. Together, we can create a world where nature thrives and future generations can flourish.
